Brucellosis Testing

paw-print-7

Brucellosis in canines is a highly contagious bacterial infection. Infected dogs most commonly develop an infection of the reproductive system and it is contagious between dogs. It is not only important to test for Brucellosis because of the severity of the contagiousness, but because it can lead to infertility in both your stud or bitch, and can also cause abortions. At All Pets , we require a Brucellosis test in order to ensure the safety of your pet before breeding. If you already have a Brucellosis test, we only require that it was done in the past six months. To test for Brucellosis we use a RSAT blood test, or a Rapid Slide Agglutination Test, and the results can be read in about ten minutes!
